About the Conference

Let the games begin!

The Annual Conference will be held at Resort at Squaw Creek, which rests at the base of Squaw Valley, minutes from North Lake Tahoe. Each room in this Hyatt property offers sweeping views of the Sierra Nevada Mountain range, ancient Ponderosa pine forests and lush meadows. Attendees will enjoy the resort’s championship golf course, heated swimming pools, 150-foot water slide, fly fishing center and private ice skating rink. Between the Sierra Nevada Mountains and Lake Tahoe, attendees will have the opportunity to hike, bike, and kayak to their hearts’ content.  You can view the full registration brochure here.  **Please note that changes that are made to the program (hotel info, travel info, CLE program, Networking, etc.) will be made to this website but not the brochure.**

Registration Confirmation
TLA will send a confirmation of registration via email. When you receive your confirmation, please check the spelling of your name to ensure it is correct. If there is an error, please contact Violeta Aceremo at the TLA Executive Office at 913-222-8652. The information on your confirmation email will be the information  used  for your name badge and event tickets. If you do not receive a confirmation email within three weeks of registering, contact the TLA Executive Office to confirm receipt of your registration.

Non-Members
By registering as a non-member, you will receive an application for membership and must meet the TLA membership qualifications in order  to attend the Annual Conference. If you are a new member of the Transportation Lawyers Association, you may attend the Annual Business Meeting as a voting member. Please note that $280 of the non-member registration fee pays your TLA dues  in full for 14 months: June  1, 2021, through July 31, 2022, the end of our fiscal year. You receive two “free” month of membership benefits, and we are confident that you will want to renew your membership for the fiscal year 2022-2023!
 
Registration Cancellation Policy
Due to circumstances that COVID-19 continues to present, there will be no cancellation fee for the 2021 conference. TLA does ask that if you are registered to attend the in- person event and are not able to do so, please contact Violeta Aceremo at 913-222-8652 prior June  22.

Transportation
Resort at Squaw Creek is located 42 miles west of the Reno- Tahoe International Airport, 200 miles east of San Francisco and 100 miles east of Sacramento via Interstate 80 with access to Highway 89 south. Taxis, Limousines, and Rideshare
Reno-Tahoe International Airport is conveniently located in downtown Reno. The airport is proud  to offer a variety of convenient travel options including taxis, limousines, and rideshare.
 
Uber and Lyft, Transportation Network Companies, may drop-off and pick-up passengers at Reno-Tahoe International Airport. Passengers may be dropped-off anywhere along the front curb of the terminal building. Pick- up is allowed in the ground transportation area located north of Baggage Claim. Follow signs outside of the D Doors, at the far north end of Baggage Claim, and look for the rideshare shelter where customers may safely wait for pick-up by Uber or Lyft drivers.
 
Taxi and limousine services are available to customers onsite. The passenger waiting area for taxis and limousines is located outside of the D Doors located north of Baggage Claim.
 
Car Rentals
Reno-Tahoe International Airport provides convenient access to nine different rental car agencies. All nine rental car counters are located in Baggage Claim. Alamo, Avis, Budget, Dollar, Enterprise, Hertz, National, and Thrifty vehicles are located just outside Baggage Claim in the Parking Structure. Payless vehicles are located off airport. Guest Parking
As part of Resort at Squaw Creek's COVID-19 actions and new cleanliness standards, the resort will no longer offer valet parking.  All parking lots will be available for complimentary self-parking and all new arrivals are encouraged to drop all luggage off at the front drive before self-parking.

What to Bring
During the spring, pack a variety of clothes to enjoy every activity Tahoe has to offer! There are infinite hiking trails, kayaks and SUPs available to rent, and miles of Lake Tahoe shoreline with beautiful beaches. At the Resort, there are three pools, a nature trail to Squaw Valley, and a fire pit going at night. Be sure to pack a jacket as the nights can get chilly.
 
Temperature
June is a moderate month in Olympic Valley, with average temperatures ranging between 65°F (18°C) and 50°F (10°C).

Things to Do In Squaw Valley
With top things to do in Squaw Valley including ski-in/ski-out access within the ski resort at Lake Tahoe, to the championship golf course and everything in between, the recreational opportunities at the resort and in the
surrounding Lake Tahoe area are virtually unlimited. Enjoy guided  fly-fishing, 18 km of Nordic trails, a private ice rink, year-round outdoor swimming pools, access to miles of hiking and biking trails onsite, along with boating, rafting, and paddle boarding on nearby Lake Tahoe. Activities at the Resort are always changing, so stay  up-to-date through the online events calendar.
